What is Mountwood Market?

Mountwood Market is a local farmers and makers market at Mountwood Park, bringing together farmers, growers, bakers, food producers, artisans, makers, food trucks, and other local businesses.

Our regular market runs Saturdays throughout the season, and we also host special events and additional vendor opportunities along the way.

We’re focused on real local products and the people behind them — the things our vendors grow, raise, bake, prepare, design, make, and create.

Whether you’d like to join us for a special event or become a regular part of the Market, we’d love to hear what you have to offer.

GROW IT • RAISE IT • BAKE IT • PREPARE IT • MAKE IT • CREATE IT

Bring it to Mountwood Market.

2

What Can I Sell?

If you grow it, raise it, bake it, prepare it, design it, make it, or create it, there’s a good chance it belongs at Mountwood Market!

That can include locally grown and raised products, baked goods, prepared foods, specialty foods, handcrafted products, art, designed and created products, and more.

Mountwood Market is a producer-focused farmers and makers market, rather than a flea market or general resale market. Products purchased primarily for resale generally aren’t a fit.

Not sure about something you sell? Just ask us. We’re happy to take a look.

3

Can I Vend for Just One Market or Special Event?

You don’t have to become an annual member to participate. Our $20 (2026) Temporary Vendor Permit lets you join us for one regular market or special event.

If you’re planning to vend with us regularly, though, Annual Membership offers the best value, including the $5 Active Member Booth Rate and additional member benefits.

We also host special events throughout the season, giving you plenty of opportunities to be part of Mountwood Market.

4

How Much Does it Cost to Vend?

There are two ways to participate at Mountwood Market:

2026 Temporary Vendor Permit — $20

Covers one regular market or special event.

2026 Annual Market Membership — $75

(Prorated to $35 for the 2026 Fall Market Season)

Designed for vendors who want to make Mountwood Market a regular part of their business.

Active Annual Members enjoy our $5 Active Member Booth Rate, expanded booth space of up to two standard spaces side-by-side, and priority opportunities for vendor features, social media, advertising, and other Market promotions.

For vendors planning to participate regularly, Annual Membership offers the best value.

5

When and Where is Mountwood Market

Mountwood Market is held at Mountwood Park (1014 Volcano Rd. Waverly, WV 26180)

Our regular market is held every Saturday from 10 AM–1 PM, May through October.

We also host special events and additional activities throughout the season.

6

How Much Space Will I Get?

Standard vendor spaces are approximately 10’ × 10’ or 12’ × 12’.

Active Annual Members get even more room to grow.  Members can enjoy up to two standard spaces side-by-side for their approved business- all at the active $5 member booth rate.

7

What Do I Need to Bring?

Vendors should bring the items they need to create and operate their booth, such as a tent, tables, displays, signage, and any business-specific equipment or supplies.

Mountwood Park also offers amenities that make market day easier. Electricity is available for vendors who need it, public trash receptacles are available throughout the park, and restroom facilities are available on-site—including facilities that help food vendors meet requirements for approved product sampling.

Your tent, signs, and displays should be properly secured, and your business name and product prices should be clearly displayed.

Come ready to showcase your business, be fully set up by opening time, and enjoy the Market!

8

Do I Need a License or Permit?

Requirements depend on your business and what you sell.

Each vendor is responsible for any licenses, permits, certifications, tax requirements, food-safety requirements, or other legal requirements that apply to their business and products.

If you’re unsure what applies to your business, feel free to reach out with questions.

9

Do I Need Insurance?

General liability and product liability insurance are encouraged.

Vendors are responsible for their own business, products, employees or helpers, equipment, booth, and activities while participating in Mountwood Market.

10
